BLRT Grupp opened a new service center for metal-roll processing

On the 17thof June, a new service and logistic center for the metal-roll processing, belonging to Elme Metall, subsidiary of BLRT Grupp, was inaugurated in Maardu. A modern equipment, which has no analogues not only in the Baltics, but also in Scandinavia, was installed in the center with a total area of ​​84,000 m2. Investments amounted to slightly more than 5 million euros, of which the share of funding from the EAS constituted about 950 thousand euros.

This center will help to strengthen our positions in the target markets», - told Georgi Grigorjan, the member of the Board of Elme Metall.

Constructionoftheservicecenterwascarriedoutcontinuously, while all activities, related to the acquisition of new equipment, its installation and adjustment, as well as moving existing equipment were carried out without interrupting production.

Installed laser, plasma and hydroabrasive cutting allow to process carbon and special steel, stainless steel and aluminum rolling of different thickness.

Modern production line for cleaning and priming of materials, which has no analogues in the Baltic States,comprehensive service for the cutting of metal-roll, bending presses, allowing to bend the sheet to 50 mm thick and a maximum capacity of 1250 tons, high-tech goods warehousing system - all this enables Elme Metall company to reach a completely new level of activity.

“Opening of a new service and logistic center in Maardu confirms our aspiration to invest in modern technology. I'm sure it’s precisely what has been noted and appreciated by our customers, the number of which today already exceeded 8000. The new service center is able to serve clients of Elme Metall both in Estonia and abroad”, - explains Georgi Grigorjan.

Creation of the center also enables to double the number of jobs - today 155 people work in the center.

Elme Metall OÜ company is engaged in the sale of steel products, as well as in production of blanks of ferrous and nonferrous metal since 2001. In the year 2016 Elme Metall is an international company with 500 employees and representative offices in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Finland, Poland and Russia. Production area, consisting of 14 warehouses and five service centers covering about 300 000 m2, allow to sell the metal and metal products in the Baltic States, Scandinavia and Eastern Europe. The target for the company are engineering markets, offshore and oil & gas industry and infrastructure construction.
